Metamucil Sculpture Studio in the NoHo Broadway Starbucks Bathroom

A twenty-minute performance in the NoHo Broadway Starbucks where I repurpose their single-stall gender-neutral bathroom as a studio to make Metamucil sculptures in the form of butt plugs. The performance ends early when threatening remarks are made through the door. Upon exiting, a very long queue becomes an audience for the work. In NYC, Starbucks—a multinational private corporation—provides a basic urban necessity where public restrooms are few and far between, and gender-neutral ones even more so.
